Bekele-Tesemma's book (Useful trees and shrubs for Ethiopia, 2007), describes 236 species of trees and shrubs from Ethiopia. It gives not only uses, but also names in many Ethiopian languages and indications for agronomists and foresters. As such, it fills an important gap in information about useful plants.
Bekele-Tesemma's book (Bekele-Tesemma, Azene, 2007. ''Useful trees and shrubs for Ethiopia. Identification, propagation and management for 17 agroclimatic zones''. Nairobi, ICRAF - RELMA. 550 p. (''Technical Manual'' 6)), describes 236 species of trees and shrubs from Ethiopia. It gives not only uses, but also names in many Ethiopian languages and indications for agronomists and foresters. As such, it fills an important gap in information about useful plants.

It was funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) within the RELMA program (at ICRAF, Nairobi). The book can be uploaded as a whole. Like other RELMA books, it can also be reproduced without permission, which must be emphasized, as the best thing we can do with such valuable information is to spread it broadly, and many years after, it is quite impossible to find anybody in a position to give permission. So, we were happy to upload the most part of it, formatting the text into species articles, which allows to link the information within a global information system.
