The joint journals of Revue de botanique appliquée (RBA), followed in 1954 by the Journal d’agronomie tropicale et de botanique appliquée (JATBA), which became Journal d’agronomie traditionnelle et de botanique appliquée in 1977, constitute the most important documentation in the French language in ethnobotany and ethnozoology.
Its digitisation, long awaited, has now come to end. All the articles from 1921 to 2000 are available on the Persée site, which means 4047 contributions in 454 numbers.
Persée is site wich puts on line the French scientific journals in human and social sciences. Those journals were known until now only to limited circles of specialists, and are now broadly accessible. At the end of 2014, the site hosted 146 journals, representing 4 millions pages.
JATBA / RBA articles can be searched either through words of the title or the author's name, or by browsing the numbers, beginning by the main page of the journal.
The main contributor of RBA was Auguste Chevalier. To allow a facilitated access to his articles, we compiled and cleaned the 7 articles of JATBA which drew the list : articles d'Auguste Chevalier dans la RBA.
Later, Pl@ntUse will endeavour to systematically put links from the pages in Persée to the species pages of Pl@ntUse.
