Biologie
Le caractère tétraploïde (2n = 64) de cette espèce n’a été connu qu’en 1935. Ce serait un amphiploïde dont l’un des parents est Nasturtium officinale, l'autre parent étant inconnu (Howard & Manton, 1946 ; Airy Shaw, 1947).
