Histoire

Usages

Cultivated in many tropical countries of America, Asia, and Australia. The fruits are eaten raw, cooked, or candied. They are also made into jelly, jam or consumed as pickles. The sour fruits are used for sour flavouring. The leaves are eaten as vegetables. The roots, bark, leaves, and seeds serve medicinal purposes. The bark of the roots is utilized in tannery.
