Cultivars
Histoire
Brésil, nom du bois de pernambouc, signifie braise en portugais (brasa, de couleur rouge sombre) et a donné son nom au pays.
Ce bois très dur sert à faire les archets les plus réputés mais est surtout une plante tinctoriale.
