Differences within Pl@ntUse and PROTA4U website
The text remains identical. But I format some data in a bullet list, in order to facilitate reading: synonyms, vernacular names, description, anatomy.
The species briefly mentioned in "Other botanical information" are separated in subsections. Their name in the text becomes clickable. Kit pages are transformed into redirect pages, in order to go directly to the subsections.
The authors of Anatomy are put at the right.
The legends of images are added or corrected when missing.
In the general "species pages" of Pl@ntUse, I integrate the images, vernacular names and uses summary from PROTA, and I add other images.
When the scientific name in PROTA is no longer the accepted name, I change nothing in the PROTA page, but I create a redirect page allowing to query with the accepted name and go the PROTA name. Another redirect page goes from the PROTA name to the Pl@ntUse name.
Species in "starter kits"
All the species of the updated list should be edited, adding the categories Use (PROTA kit) and PROTA kit. Kits usually contain a "star box" and sometimes some references.
I edited them for Spices and condiments, and the beginning of Fruits. But I stopped because the interest is limited. MichelChauvet (talk) 16:32, 10 March 2026 (UTC).
